1. Core Rules for Everyone
No one may use the Platform or a Service to assault, injure, threaten, stalk, harass, exploit, discriminate against, intimidate, drug, traffic, photograph in a private area without permission, steal from, damage property of, or otherwise harm another person. No weapon, impairment, unsafe driving, unauthorized person, or animal may be brought to a job in violation of law or the Service Order.
Use accurate identity, role, business, license, insurance, payment, and contact information.
Treat every person respectfully; no harassment, discrimination, sexual conduct, threats, stalking, violence, retaliation, exploitation, or intimidation.
Keep payment, scope changes, completion evidence, important communications, and disputes in Settlyfe’s supported flow.
Do not manipulate identity, location, pricing, Quotes, ratings, completion, photos, claims, referrals, refunds, chargebacks, or Platform Charges.
Protect addresses, phone numbers, photos, messages, entry instructions, keys, and codes; use them only for the active transaction.
Report immediate emergencies to 911 or the appropriate local authority first; Settlyfe is not an emergency service.
2. Customer Rules
Request only lawful Services for property you are authorized to access and disclose known hazards, pets, access limits, parking, stairs, restricted areas, and material scope facts.
Do not pressure a Provider to work outside its license, skip a permit, hide a change, misstate completion, accept an off-Platform payment arrangement, or violate safety rules.
Keep an adult contact available when required, secure valuables, supervise children and animals, and provide safe, lawful access.
Do not record audio or private areas unlawfully, harass Personnel, demand unrelated personal information, or contact a worker for personal or romantic purposes.
Use good-faith dispute and review processes; do not threaten a false review or chargeback to obtain free or extra work.
3. Provider Company Rules
Accept only work the Provider Company and assigned Personnel can lawfully, safely, and competently perform with active licenses, permits, insurance, tools, and supervision.
Control and supervise Personnel as their employer or contracting business; ensure identity match, training, wage/tax compliance, and worker access removal.
Set or affirmatively adopt rates, disclose assumptions and all mandatory charges, and obtain an accepted change order before additional work.
Provide required category contracts, notices, estimates, cancellation forms, receipts, warranties, lien notices, and permits. Generic Platform records do not replace them.
Report incidents, license/insurance lapse, data loss, unauthorized contact, and inability to fulfill promptly and accurately.
4. Provider Personnel Rules
Use only your own registered Account and appear as the assigned worker; never share credentials or send an undisclosed substitute.
Use Customer information only for the assigned job; do not photograph unrelated areas, copy contact details, save access codes, or download data for personal use.
Do not solicit tips, cash, side work, future work, social contact, dates, reviews, or referrals. Do not leave promotional material unless the Customer separately requests it and law permits.
Do not return after the permitted appointment or enter any space beyond the accepted scope and authorization.
Remain sober and professional; follow PPE, code, permit, manufacturer, vehicle, and safety requirements; stop unsafe or unauthorized work.
Report a mistake, damage, injury, lost key, privacy event, threat, harassment, or emergency immediately to the Provider Company and through the required Settlyfe channel.
5. Contact and Data Boundaries
Customer contact information is transaction-limited. Do not save it to a personal phone, export it, enrich it, search for the person online, add it to a marketing audience, or use it for an unrelated purpose. Delete local copies and relinquish keys, codes, credentials, images, and location data after the authorized need ends.
6. Anti-Circumvention
A “jump order” includes asking or helping a Settlyfe-originated Customer to cancel, rebook, extend, add scope, pay, or conceal a related job outside Settlyfe during the applicable protected period to avoid disclosed charges, transaction records, or safety/payment controls. Provider-originated customers documented before the Settlyfe introduction are excluded from marketplace-acquisition restrictions.
Do not place personal payment handles, alternate booking links, QR codes, off-platform discounts, or disguised contact details in a profile, quote, photo, message, invoice, or onsite handout for a prohibited jump order.
Consequences may include loss of the opportunity or payout subject to law, reversal of credits, recovery of actual avoided fees and documented loss, removal of sponsored placement, suspension, termination, and injunctive relief. Settlyfe will not use an arbitrary undisclosed penalty.
6.1 Protected transaction. A Customer or job introduced through Settlyfe is protected for 12 months after the later of introduction or last Settlyfe Service. During that period, no user may use Settlyfe data to avoid the Platform’s disclosed charges, records, or protections.
6.2 Examples. Prohibited conduct includes requesting or paying cash, Zelle, Venmo, a personal invoice, direct card payment, or an undisclosed side job; canceling to rebook privately; telling someone to misstate the source; exchanging contact details for bypass; or moving a change order outside the Platform.
6.3 Exceptions. A documented pre-existing relationship, genuinely independent acquisition without Settlyfe data, emergency, legal requirement, or approved conversion/release is not circumvention. General advertising not targeted with Transaction Data remains allowed.
7. Marketing and Unwanted Outreach
After completion or cancellation, contact is limited to documented warranty, correction, payment, safety, lost-property, claim, or legal matters. Marketing, referral requests, requests for future work, and personal, romantic, or social contact require separate, freely given, revocable permission. Silence, a completed job, possession of a phone number, or a customer rating is not permission.
Honor STOP, unsubscribe, do-not-call, in-app block, or any other reasonable revocation promptly. A Provider Company is the sender of marketing it initiates and must maintain the required consent and suppression records. Transactional messages must not contain disguised marketing.
7.1 Separate consent. Booking permission is not marketing consent. Promotional texts/calls require legally sufficient, sender-specific consent where applicable; marketing email must meet applicable identification and opt-out rules. Consent cannot be required to book unless law allows and the product genuinely requires it.
7.2 Revocation. A person may revoke marketing consent using any method recognized by law or the message. Provider Companies and Settlyfe must maintain suppression records and stop within the legally required period. A transactional channel cannot be repurposed to evade an opt-out.
7.3 No retaliation. Do not penalize, refuse warranty/correction, lower service quality, or threaten a person for declining marketing or reporting unwanted contact.
7.4 Transaction contact expires. A phone number, message thread, address, or access instruction supplied for a Service is permission only for that transaction and permitted follow-up. It is not permission for marketing, list building, personal or romantic contact, future-job solicitation, or an unannounced return. Provider Company is responsible for every use by its Personnel.
8. Property Access and Safety
Temporary codes and keys are for the approved person, place, time, and scope only; never duplicate, retain, disclose, or reuse them.
No weapons, threats, impairment, theft, surveillance abuse, unauthorized guests, smoking/vaping, or illegal conduct at a property.
Stop and leave safely when confronted with imminent danger, suspected gas/electrical/fire hazard, structural danger, violence, or work outside authorization; contact the appropriate emergency resource.
Provider Company must preserve chain of custody and promptly return keys, devices, documents, or property entrusted for the Service.
9. Prices, Changes, Tips, and Reviews
Credits or sponsored placement may not buy, inflate, suppress, or condition a review; change a credential or safety status; override a hard eligibility gate; guarantee selection; or reveal a Customer’s identity before the Platform authorizes it. Any paid influence on ranking must be labeled.
Do not hide a mandatory fee, split one project to evade licensing or contract rules, or pressure a Customer after arrival.
Record every material scope/price change and obtain clear Customer acceptance before work.
Tips are voluntary; do not pressure for a tip or condition normal service on one.
Reviews must reflect genuine experience; no fake, purchased, insider-undisclosed, sentiment-conditioned, retaliatory, or suppressed reviews.
10. Reporting, Evidence, and Non-Retaliation
10.1 Reportable events. Report unwanted contact, bypass, fraud, harassment, discrimination, threat, assault, injury, damage, theft, lost access, impersonation, license lapse, unsafe work, privacy/security incident, or retaliation.
10.2 Preserve evidence. Preserve relevant Platform messages, Quotes, change orders, photos, receipts, device/account details, names, and times. Do not delete, fabricate, coach, intimidate, or coordinate false statements.
10.3 Confidentiality. Settlyfe will limit report information to persons who need it for response, defense, safety, insurance, or law. Absolute confidentiality cannot be promised where disclosure is required or reasonably necessary.
11. Enforcement
11.1 Fair process. Settlyfe may act immediately when necessary to protect safety, data, funds, or evidence. Otherwise it will provide the material reason, permit relevant evidence, use trained review, document the outcome, and offer an appeal. Similar cases should be treated consistently and tested for discriminatory impact.
11.2 Financial limits. Settlyfe may recover actual avoided Platform Charges and documented loss only where the agreement and law permit. It will not impose arbitrary punitive fines, withhold employee wages, or retain unrelated earned Provider payouts as punishment.
11.3 Serious violations. Circumvention, payment steering, unwanted post-Service outreach, retaining access credentials, returning without authorization, stalking, threats, harassment, data misuse, unlicensed work, or fraud may result in immediate data cutoff, suspension, termination, a hold limited to the related transaction, recovery of actual avoided charges and documented loss, injunctive relief, indemnity claims, and referral to an insurer, regulator, or law enforcement where appropriate. These remedies are cumulative and limited only where law requires.
12. Contact
12.1 Trust & Safety. Use the in-app report flow for unwanted contact, circumvention, safety, fraud, property access, or harassment. Call 911 for emergencies. Reports may also be sent to Settlyfe@gmail.com; include the order ID and do not email passwords, access codes, or full payment credentials.
13. Intellectual Property and Content Complaints
13.1 User Content. Reviews, ratings, messages, photos, video, documents, profiles, prompts, and other submitted material must comply with the User-Generated Content Policy.
13.2 Copyright and trademarks. Copyright notices, DMCA counter-notices, trademark complaints, and repeat-infringer enforcement are governed by the Copyright and Trademark Policy.
13.3 Feedback. Product suggestions, concepts, proposals, and unsolicited ideas are governed by the Feedback and Unsolicited Ideas Policy.
13.4 Enforcement. Infringing, counterfeit, impersonating, deceptive, or rights-violating content may be removed or restricted and may result in Account action, preservation of evidence, or referral to authorities.
Mandatory-Law Savings
To the maximum extent permitted by law, each disclaimer, release, indemnity, limitation, remedy, choice-of-law provision, and arbitration provision is subject to non-waivable law, including California Civil Code section 1668.
